Christina Marmol

I loved my time with Primeros Pasos! Every day brought a new experience for me: from teaching and learning from the Guatemalan medical students, to seeing adults, children, and pregnant women with a variety of complaints, to going out into the communities to work with patients in mobile clinics and nutrition group visits. Primeros Pasos does inspirational work for people in the Palajunoj Valley, and I felt lucky to be able to participate and lend a helping hand where I could.  Before coming to the clinic, I knew that I wanted to work with Latin American immigrants in the United States, and after my formative time working with the clinic, I am recommitted to my goal and am also excited about pursuing Global Health work in the future.
